Winter Camp Announced!!
The winter session of the Rockland Rock Band Camp is tentatively set for Tuesdays 5:00-6:30, 6:30-8:00 at Anjel Blue Studios in Nyack. Twelve week program, Feb 7th - April 24th, and performance at the Turning Point in Piermont!(Saturday, April 28th to be confirmed.)
More days /times will be added as necessary.
You can download and mail in the registration form or register online. We get great service and nice equipment at Blue Anjel.

Another great performance at The Turning Point on Saturday Dec 17th, 2011.
Six boys ranging from age 9 to 12 performed 8 songs in front of a full house.
Songs included "It's My Life"(Bon Jovi), "Soliders"(Drowning Pool), and "Uprising(Muse).
Other songs were: "Smoke On The Water( the whole song!!), "T.N.T.," "Johnny B. Goode"( everyone took a solo!)
and "Heart of Gold"(Neil Young).

The Rockland Band Camp Program has been a great success and the kids love working, rehearsing and performing the songs at The Turning Point.
Creating music, rehearsing and performing as a band under the guidance of a teacher. More in depth than Summer session.
Students will learn how to rehearsal and learn songs, song forms, styles, stage presence, band interaction/playing with others/teamwork, listening in a band setting, and more.
In addition to private lessons, this is critical step in the development of any musician.
Band/group sessions will improve the students overall musicianship.
Some benefits of band/groups sessions:
- Reach your goals by learning and playing with others.
- Develop your musical growth
- Intergrate your skills
- more enjoyment in learning, practicing= more, faster progress.

13 sessions includes a performance(12 weeks plus performance day)(Turning Point Sat. 4/28th to be confirmed)
One day per week for 1 1/2 hours at Anjel Blue Studios in Nyack.
Tuition for Winter Semester is $650. (more than 50% off my private lesson rate)
Starts Tues. Feb 7th. thru week of April 24th.
This is 12 week commitment. Running it monthly wouldn't work because than someone can drop out and that wouldn't be fair to the other band members.
Looking to start with Tues. sessions starting on Feb. 7th.
First session is 5:00-6:30,
Second session 6:30-8:00 (to be confirmed).
Sooner I confirm students, the sooner I can set groups, days, times,etc.
Please be aware of all of your after school activities. This being the preferred one. :)

Brian is a great teacher. The first lesson together he makes sure to focus on your likes/dislikes and you end up with a very custom session.
Whether you want to learn songs, increase technical skill, or compose your own material, Brian knows just where to steer you.
His relaxed and enthusiastic attitude creates a perfect environment to calmly increase your skills at guitar while having a great time in the process.

Brian Murphy is a great guitar teacher. He teaches you from the basics to those hard solos. He lets you chose the songs you want to learn and will help you every step of the way. You don't even have to go to him, he comes to you so you don't need too worry about getting there on time. If you have any problems he helps you with them. He has taught me from playing simple chords to playing songs like " Black Dog", "Iron Man", and "Hotel California". Brian is a great guitar player and teacher.
